John Michael Spaun is the executive director for Solstice Senior Living at Lodi. John was born and raised in Southern California. He attended Citrus College and the University of Phoenix, where he majored in business administration with a minor in music and the arts. John’s grandparents owned a nursing home in Baldwin Park, California, where his grandmother taught him everything about the business. John enjoyed the experience working with seniors and became a licensed nursing home administrator in 1997. He is also a licensed RCFE administrator and has been working in the senior care industry for over 25 years.
He and his wife, Dollie, are avid golfers, and John has a 6 handicap. John’s son, JJ Spaun, is a professional golfer and plays on the PGA tour. John also plays guitar and piano.
Senior Director of Sales and Marketing
Tawni Gonzalez became a part of the Solstice Senior Living at Lodi community in 2017. Prior to joining the team, she was a licensed EMT and worked for a private ambulance company that provided emergency services to senior living communities in the Sacramento area. Tawni graduated from California State University–Stanislaus in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Tawni currently lives in the Sacramento area with her husband and adorable fur-baby.
Culinary Services Director
Recklie “Ricky” Hortizuela joined Solstice Senior Living at Lodi in 2008. He began his career as a dishwasher and worked his way up to eventually become the Culinary Service director. His main goal is to serve each resident to the best of his ability and prepare amazing food every day. Ricky received his culinary degree from Quality College in the Fresno area. He lives with his wife, Bianca, in the Stockton area.
